Motorana Privacy Policy

Motorana is designed to be a private, straightforward marketplace for buying and selling vehicle parts.

We believe a marketplace does not need to know everything about you. Motorana is built to minimize the personal information we collect, avoid unnecessary identity requirements, and give users control over optional advertising tracking.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Motorana collects, why we collect it, when information may be shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Our Privacy Approach

Motorana is designed around a few basic principles:

• We do not require your real name, email address, or phone number to use the core Motorana marketplace.
• We collect only information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service.
• Communications between buyers and sellers are designed to occur through Motorana rather than requiring users to exchange personal contact information.
• Motorana does not process your payment or require you to provide us with bank account or credit card information for in-person marketplace transactions.
• If advertising technology requests permission to track you across other companies' apps or websites, we will request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before allowing that tracking on iOS.
• Declining tracking permission does not prevent you from using Motorana.

2. Information You Provide to Motorana

Listings

When you create a listing, you may provide information such as:

• Vehicle year, make, and model
• Part name or category
• Listing description
• Price
• Photos
• Listing status
• Other information you choose to include in a listing

Listings are intended to be visible to other Motorana users.

You should not include information in a listing that you do not want other users to see, such as your home address, telephone number, email address, driver's license, or other sensitive personal information.

Marketplace Messages

If you communicate with another user through Motorana, we may store the contents of those messages so that the messaging feature works and so that conversations can be delivered to the appropriate users.

Motorana is designed so buyers and sellers can communicate without having to disclose their personal phone numbers or email addresses.

Payment Handles

A seller may choose to provide a payment identifier, such as a Venmo username or Cash App $Cashtag, for use in connection with a transaction.

Motorana may display or use that identifier to create a payment link or QR code.

Motorana does not receive your bank account number, payment card number, Venmo credentials, Cash App credentials, or other financial account credentials through this process.

Payments are completed using the applicable third-party payment service and are subject to that service's own terms and privacy practices.

3. Anonymous Accounts and Session Information

Motorana may create an anonymous account, session identifier, authentication token, or similar identifier so that the app can recognize your installation or session and provide features such as:

• Creating and managing listings
• Accessing your listings
• Receiving marketplace messages
• Marking items as sold or paid
• Maintaining your Motorana session

These identifiers allow Motorana to operate without requiring traditional account information such as your name, email address, or telephone number.

Although these identifiers generally do not identify you by name, they may still be considered personal information under some privacy laws because they are associated with a particular device or account.

4. Push Notifications

Motorana uses push notifications for marketplace activity.

If you enable notifications, Motorana may receive and store a device push notification token provided through services such as Apple Push Notification service (APNs).

We use this token to send notifications such as:

• New marketplace messages
• Activity involving your listings
• Calls or communication requests
• Listing expiration or renewal notices
• Other important marketplace activity

A push notification token is a technical identifier. It does not provide Motorana with your phone number or email address.

You can disable Motorana notifications through your device settings.

5. Calls

Motorana may allow buyers and sellers to communicate using internet-based voice or video calling.

Calls may use temporary connection information necessary to establish a direct or real-time connection between participants.

Motorana may process limited technical information necessary to initiate, route, secure, or troubleshoot a call. Depending on the technology used, portions of a call may travel directly between participants rather than through Motorana's servers.

Motorana does not record calls unless we specifically disclose that functionality and obtain any consent required by law.

Users are not required to disclose their personal telephone numbers to use Motorana calling features.

6. Information Collected Automatically

Like most online services, Motorana's servers and service providers may automatically receive limited technical information when you use the service.

This may include:

• IP address
• Device and operating-system information
• App version
• Dates and times of requests
• Server and application logs
• Crash or diagnostic information
• Anonymous session or device identifiers
• General interaction information necessary to operate and troubleshoot the service

We use this information primarily to operate Motorana, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, maintain security, and understand whether the service is functioning properly.

We do not attempt to build detailed personal profiles from this information.

7. Advertising

Motorana may display advertising.

Advertising helps us operate the marketplace without requiring users to pay for basic access.

We may work with third-party advertising providers to deliver and measure advertisements. Depending on the advertising provider and the permissions you grant, these providers may receive technical information such as device information, advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from an IP address, ad impressions, interactions with advertisements, or similar advertising-related information.

App Tracking Transparency

On Apple devices, some forms of advertising involve "tracking" as defined by Apple, including linking information collected from Motorana with information collected from other companies' apps, websites, or offline properties for targeted advertising or advertising measurement.

Motorana will request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before allowing advertising tracking that requires that permission.

If you choose Ask App Not to Track, Motorana will respect that choice.

You can continue using Motorana if you decline tracking.

Where possible, Motorana may still display advertisements that do not depend on tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.

You can also review or change tracking permissions through the privacy settings on your Apple device.

8. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information for Money

Motorana does not sell lists of users or personal information to data brokers in exchange for money.

Some privacy laws use broader definitions of terms such as "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising." Certain advertising relationships involving identifiers or cross-context behavioral advertising may fall within those definitions even when no information is sold for money.

Where applicable law gives you a right to opt out of such activity, Motorana will provide the required choice.

Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission is an additional privacy control and may be separate from rights provided under state privacy laws.

9. Service Providers

Motorana may use companies that provide infrastructure necessary to operate the service, such as:

• Cloud hosting and database providers
• Image storage providers
• Push notification services
• Security and fraud-prevention services
• Crash reporting or technical diagnostics
• Real-time communication infrastructure
• Advertising providers

These providers may process limited information on Motorana's behalf or according to their own privacy obligations.

We try to limit the information provided to third parties to what is reasonably necessary for the service they provide.

10. Information Shared With Other Users

Motorana is a marketplace, so certain information is intentionally shared with other users.

For example, other users may see:

• Your active listings
• Listing photos and descriptions
• Vehicle and part information
• Asking prices
• Marketplace messages you send to them
• A seller-provided payment handle or payment QR code when made available for a transaction

Motorana does not require you to publicly display your real name, personal phone number, personal email address, or home address as part of a listing.

Remember that information you voluntarily include in photos, descriptions, messages, or other marketplace content may be seen by other users.

11. Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may preserve, access, or disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request
• Protect the security or integrity of Motorana
• Investigate fraud, abuse, or illegal activity
• Enforce our agreements
• Protect the rights or safety of Motorana, our users, or others

We do not provide user information to government agencies simply because they ask informally. Where appropriate, we require valid legal process.

12. Data Retention

Motorana keeps information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

For example, we may retain information while your account, session, listing, conversation, or transaction-related feature remains active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backups, or legal obligations.

Listings may expire automatically after a defined period and may be eligible for renewal.

Deleting or expiring content may not immediately remove every copy from temporary backups or security logs.

We aim to avoid keeping personal information merely because it might someday be useful.

13. Security

Motorana uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

We also design Motorana to reduce the amount of sensitive information we possess in the first place.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security, however, and users should avoid placing sensitive personal information in public listings or messages unless it is necessary for a transaction.

14. Your Choices

Depending on how you use Motorana and where you live, you may have the ability or legal right to:

• Access certain information associated with you
• Request deletion of certain information
• Correct inaccurate information
• Disable push notifications
• Decline advertising tracking
• Change Apple's tracking permission through device settings
• Opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing where required by applicable law

Because Motorana is designed around anonymous or pseudonymous sessions, we may sometimes have limited ability to identify information as belonging to a particular individual.

We may ask you to demonstrate control of the applicable Motorana account, installation, session, or other identifier before acting on a privacy request.

15. Children's Privacy

Motorana is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been provided to Motorana, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

16. Third-Party Services

Motorana may link to or interact with services operated by other companies, including payment services.

Those companies operate independently from Motorana and have their own privacy policies and practices.

For example, when you open Venmo or Cash App to complete a payment, information you provide to that service is governed by the payment provider's policies, not this Privacy Policy.

17. Business Transfers

If Motorana is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all of its business or assets, information associated with the service may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Any successor would remain subject to applicable privacy laws concerning that information.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Motorana will evolve, and this Privacy Policy may change as we introduce new features or service providers.

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.
