Who is Motorana for?

Motorana is for car people.

We’re tinkerers, customizers, builders, maintainers, restorers, racers, and collectors. We love classic European, Japanese, and American vehicles, motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, and motorsports in general.

Collectively, we’ve owned hundreds of vehicles over our lifetimes. Motorana grew out of a simple idea: finding and moving parts between enthusiasts should be easier than it is today.

What is Motorana?

Motorana is a simple marketplace for buying, selling, and trading new, used, collectible, and hard-to-find parts for cars, trucks, motorcycles, scooters, and ATVs.

The goal is straightforward: help enthusiasts connect with other enthusiasts and move useful parts from one garage to another with as little friction as possible.

Why did you build it?

Most marketplaces ask for too much: too much personal information, too many profiles, too many forms, too much account management, and too much marketplace bureaucracy.

Motorana is designed to stay lightweight. List a part, find a part, talk to another enthusiast, arrange a safe transaction, and get back to your project.

No heavy seller dashboard. No giant business-operations interface. No requirement to build a social profile just to sell a spare part.

Is Motorana privacy-focused?

Yes. Privacy is one of the main reasons Motorana exists.

We intentionally try to collect as little personal information as possible. You do not need to build a public profile or hand over a large amount of personal information just to participate.

Conversations happen inside Motorana. Calls happen inside Motorana. You do not need to give another user your personal phone number or email address just to discuss a listing.

How do accounts work?

For now, the app is your account.

Motorana creates an identifier for the app on your device. As long as that identity remains available, your listings and marketplace activity remain associated with it.

You do not need to create a traditional profile with an email address, password, biography, profile photo, or other personal information.

What happens if I delete the app?

Under the current account model, deleting the app may also remove your ability to access the identity associated with your listings and activity.

That simplicity is intentional: fewer credentials, less personal data, and less account-management overhead.

We may add optional account recovery or more traditional sign-in methods in the future, but we intend to keep the experience simple and privacy-conscious.

Do I need to share my phone number or email?

No.

Motorana messaging is built into the app, so buyers and sellers can communicate privately without immediately exchanging personal contact information.

How do in-app calls work?

Sellers can make individual listings available for calls from the Selling tab.

A buyer can then call the seller inside Motorana to discuss the part in real time. The call does not use FaceTime and does not require either person to share a personal phone number.

Think of it as a private, temporary in-app room tied to the listing.

How do I sell something?

Create a listing in the app. Add vehicle information when applicable, describe the part, add photos, set a price, choose the condition, and publish.

Your listings live in the Selling tab, where you can edit them, delete them, renew them, manage calls, and view activity.

Can I see how my listing is doing?

Yes. When viewing your own listing, Motorana shows simple insights such as views, saves, and shares.

We want sellers to have useful information without turning the experience into a complicated analytics dashboard.

How long do listings stay live?

Listings have a 30-day life.

You can edit or delete a listing at any time, and you can renew it when you want to keep it active.

We prefer current marketplace activity over stale listings and old artifacts floating around indefinitely.

Can I trade parts?

Yes. A listing can indicate that the seller is willing to trade. Motorana is intended for buying, selling, and trading between enthusiasts.

How do payments work?

Motorana does not process your payment itself.

Sellers can choose a preferred payment method such as Venmo, Cash App, or cash. Motorana simply helps direct the buyer to the seller’s preferred payment method.

We do not ask for or store your payment-service password.

How does the QR code work?

When you are ready to complete an in-person sale, go to Selling, find the listing, and open its QR code.

The buyer can scan the code to reach the appropriate payment destination for that listing.

It is designed to keep in-person transactions quick and simple.

Where should I meet a buyer or seller?

Use common sense and choose a safe public location.

For higher-value transactions, consider a well-lit location with regular foot traffic or a designated safe-exchange area. Inspect the item and confirm the transaction details before completing payment.

I have a lot of listings. Can I upload them in bulk?

Yes. Motorana includes a bulk uploader for sellers with larger inventories or people moving listings from another marketplace.

1. Open the Selling tab.
2. Tap Bulk Upload.
3. Generate a temporary upload code.
4. Go to motorana.com/bulk.
5. Enter the code within 10 minutes.
6. Download the sample CSV or upload your own CSV.
7. Review the preview and follow the prompts to import.

Why does the bulk upload code expire?

The temporary code connects your browser upload session to your Motorana app without requiring a traditional website account or password.

The short expiration window helps keep that connection temporary.

Can I list universal-fit parts?

Yes. Not every part belongs to one specific year, make, and model. Motorana supports universal-fit listings for parts and accessories that work across multiple vehicles or applications.

What kinds of parts belong on Motorana?

Parts and accessories related to cars, trucks, motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, restoration, maintenance, customization, and motorsports.

That includes replacement parts, rare parts, performance parts, vintage pieces, wheels, trim, lighting, mechanical components, project leftovers, accessories, and collectible items.

Is Motorana a social network?

No. Motorana is a marketplace.

We are not trying to build another social profile system or engagement feed. The purpose is to help enthusiasts find parts, connect privately, make a deal, and get back to their projects.

How much does Motorana cost?

Nothing.

Motorana is currently $0 to use.

Will Motorana always be free?

The core marketplace is free today.

We may introduce optional premium features as Motorana grows, but our goal is to keep the basic buying and selling experience simple and accessible.

How does Motorana make money?

Advertising.

Motorana uses simple in-app advertising to help keep the service running. We try not to overwhelm the experience with ads. The marketplace comes first.

We may also introduce optional paid features in the future.
